A STUPID LION AND A RABBIT ( Ni Luh Gede Dian Pondika Cahyaningsih)

          Along time ago, in Terra Incognito forest, there lived a lion. He liked to kill many animals, although he was not hungry.

          One day, all animals in the forest came to him. A nanny goat begged him, she said “Mbeeeeeeeeek… my highest, do you often kill many animals without any reasons? It is out of mind. What do you think if we give you an animal for your food everyday?” The Lion thought for a minute. Then he answered, “Aaaummm… well, that’s very good idea. How lucky I am to get food without hunting, ha… ha… ha… aumm… “roared the Lion.

          Then, many animals started to give an animal for the Lion’s food everyday. One day, it was the time for a rabbit to be the Lion’s food. Although he didn’t want it, the Rabbit leaped to the Lion’s cave. He actually had already prepared a way to kill the Lion. As one of his strategy, he came late to the Lion’s cave.

          “Why do you come so late, Rabbit?” asked the Lion while licking his lips because he was very hungry.

          “My highest”, said the rabbit, “It is not my fault. I come late because there was another lion who wants to eat me too. He let me go because I’ve sworn that I’ll come back to him after I met you”

          “Auuumm…rrgh… show me who he is, I’ll kill him!” the Lion roaring. He was so angry because there was another animal who want to against him. Then, the rabbit accompanied the Lion to go to a place where there was a well. The Rabbit looked into the well and said “My Highest, look! That’s him!” the Rabbit pointed into the well. The Lion approached the well and looked at the bottom of the well. There, he saw his shadow on the water. He thought that the shadow was his opponent. Then, the stupid Lion jumped into the water and sank in. The Rabbit was very happy. He could be free because the Lion was dead. Now, the Rabbit realized that a smart thinking is better than strong body.
